LAKME ABSOLUTE GEL STYLIST....!!!!
I have never used a gel nail paint before.But after seeing the adds again and again i thought to give a try.So few days back when i went to H&G this two beautiful shades caught my eye and i could not resist buying them..so here's a review!!!.
PRICE:- Rs.400 for 15ml(ya!.. quite expensive).I know it is quite expensive and may not be affordable for students with limited pocket money..
SHADES:- The shades that i am reviewing here are ROYAL BLUE and PEACH SCHNAPPS.
COLOUR:-
TEXTURE:- It has a glossy and smooth texture.The royal blue is a very rich classy blue that i am in love with it...even the peach schnapps is a beautiful and sweet light pink color and i really love it too..I have applied only 2 coats without any topcoat in this pics..
LASTING:- I applied it without any basecoat or topcoat..just 2 coats and i saw the first small chip on the 9th day on my index finger,after doing all the house works like dishes n etc..But i was able to keep it for more than a week with little chipping...The glossiness stayed for 5-6 days in my case but even after the 6th day it wasn't looking dull....
APPLICATION:- It is easy to apply because of its gel texture but the problem is with the drying part..For the peach schnapps,it dried fast like some normal nailpaint but i don't know why everytime i applied royal blue it took sooooo long time to get dry...And tell you one thing if you apply more than 2 coats then definitely this gel paint is going to eat your time.!!!
RATING:- 3/5.
CONCLUSION:- I HAVE A MIXED FEELING...It is too expensive for many..And 2 weeks lasting is ok for me but there are many affordable brands that lasts for 2 weeks with a good topcoat..But again many of us like to change nail color 2 to 3 times a week..(hehe!..i like to change twice a week)
Only thing i want to say is that if you can afford it and want to try a gelpaint then go and have fun with it...
